Can you play combat arms on windows 8

I can load the game fine, log in, and even get into a game. However, after around minutes the game will just randomly close to my desktop. No error message or anything. It does not seem to happen at any particular time either. Sometimes it happens in the menu, sometimes in game, it seems to be very random.

I have completely deleted combat arms from my computer and re installed multiple times. I have tried using ccleaner and deleting files. I still have the same problem. Some information about my computer: i am running 64 bit windows 8. I have tried to find log files to provide but i cannot seem to find them in any of the Nexon game folders. I should probably also mention that i am not running the game through the steam client. I am running it directly from the.
