My computer does not have a Firewire input so I have tried a Firewire output from the camcorder to a USB input to the computer but the computer does not recognise it?
I don't really want to get into installing new cards into my computer! I am struggling to find a replacement S-Video output cable but am not sure if this would be any better? I run Windows Terfyn Well-known Member. See other posts on this subject. Basically you need to fit your PC with a FireWire card for direct transfer. Example EZCap. Get a professional outfit to do the transfer for you.
